Developer Story

Why I Am Making Super Sports Isle

I grew up loving Wii Sports and Wii Sports Resort, and those games are a big part of why I wanted to make games in the first place.

Inspiration

As a kid, I played a ton of Wii Sports and Wii Sports Resort. Those games genuinely shaped my love for games, and they stayed with me for years.

I wanted to make something in that spirit for a long time, but only now I feel I have the skill to do it justice.

The Reason

My dad and I played a lot of Wii Sports Resort and Switch Sports golf, and we always wanted more holes. I said, "imagine if they had more holes," and he said, "what, like a par 6?" as a joke.

That moment stuck with me: if I WERE the developer, I COULD just do that, among other "what if?" ideas that I had. It was a big part of my reasoning for starting this project.

Why PC And Multi-Input

PC is the most accessible platform for both development and player reach. The game can be played with just Keyboard/Mouse and does not require specialized controllers.

If players DO own them, standard gamepads (Xbox, Switch Pro, DualSense, Steam Controller) or Joy-Con/Joy-Con 2 for motion controls may provide a better experience.

What I Want This To Be

Super Sports Isle is my attempt to make a worthy alternative to the sports collections I grew up with while expanding the genre with more modes, more variety, and more replay value.

I want this game to feel joyful, surprising, and packed with the kinds of "what if?" ideas that made me want to build it in the first place.
